Nature-Based Solutions ECHO Programme
Project ECHO: Hacettepe University
The Nature-Based Solutions ECHO Programme is a 6-week awareness training programme designed to explore the role of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) in creating more sustainable, resilient, and healthy cities. Organised within the framework of Project ECHO at Hacettepe University , the programme will run from 15 April to 20 May 2026 , bringing participants together each week for an engaging online learning experience that combines expert input, case-based discussion, collaborative activities, and reflective evaluation.
The programme focuses on how nature-inspired planning and design approaches can help address urban challenges such as climate adaptation, flood control, ecological connectivity, public health, and resilience. Throughout the six weeks, participants will gain both conceptual understanding and practical insight through a structured series of lectures, case presentations, surveys, assessments, and interactive workshop methods such as mind mapping, jigsaw activity, reverse brainstorming, scenario writing, and SWOT analysis .
